Police have accused three teenagers who are Baltimore residents of burglary after responding to an alleged burglary in Brooklyn Park. According to media sources, the three were taken into police custody after responding to an alarm at Cycle World on Richie Highway South. The 14-year-old, 16-year-old and 17-year-old face various burglary charges, and they also received juvenile citations for malicious destruction of property.
After arriving at the store police claim to have witnessed two individuals crawling through a broken window and two others running away. Reports say that the two teens inside the store allegedly tried to escape through an exit at the rear of the building, and one of the teens left through the door while the other reentered the store. Even though initial reports indicate that four people were seen during the incident, police were only able to apprehend one of the accused individuals inside of the business and two others in the surrounding area.
All three of the accused teens received charges for second-degree burglary and fourth-degree burglary. They were also all given juvenile citations for malicious destruction of property. The 14-year-old received an additional juvenile citation for theft under $100.
